Transkills: supporting transition to University

This resource is not written as a definitive guide, nor is it intended to be prescriptive. There is no ‘correct’ way to tackle an essay and some of the guidelines that apply to scientific writing may be less relevant to human geography. However, good essays share common features: they are closely focussed on the question; they have an ineluctable, logical flow; they demonstrate clarity of thought; they are accurate, adequately referenced and well presented.

Requirements for supervision Essay writing in Human Geography are available in a separate resource.
